2019 Organic Agriculture Research Forum

The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) is pleased to announce  the 2019 Organic Agriculture Research Forum (OARF), presented in partnership with Organicology  on Saturday, February 16, 2019. The forum will feature talks from  researchers, farmers, students, and other agriculture specialists chosen  for their innovative excellence and relevance to the advancement of organic agriculture, implementation of sustainable practices, and improvement of our food system overall. Presentations will cover a variety of topics ranging from organic farming for climate change, crop cultivars developed for organic systems, and organic pest and weed management. Farmers, ranchers, extension staff, educators, agricultural  professionals, and others interested in organic agriculture are invited to attend. For questions about the forum, please contact grants@ofrf.org

The full agenda for OARF will be available on the OFRF website (ofrf.org) in early January 2019. 

 Students, farmers, and researchers who would like to apply for a scholarship of up to $350 to attend the forum should email their request to grants@ofrf.org no later than December 15, 2018. All applications must include the following: name, position, statement of interest and need of scholarship, amount requested and budget. Scholarships will be awarded based on the need and merit of the applicant. The scholarship funds may be applied toward forum registration, travel, and one night of lodging. To receive reimbursement, scholarship recipients will be required to submit receipts and a brief blog about their experience. These scholarships have been made available through the generous support of Ceres Trust.
